Description

Trak Racer Flight Sim Control Mount with Long Side Support

This is the long-arm, single-support version of Trak Racer's flight control mounting system. One 666mm aluminium profile arm, height adjustable to 350mm, with two mounting plates for a joystick and a throttle. It sits with the flight simulator controls we stock.

The long arm matters when your controls need to sit wide. A full HOTAS with a Warthog throttle takes real space, and a short arm puts it closer to the seat than the aircraft would.

It is the right choice on a TR160, which already has one side support fitted, so a single arm completes the pair.

Key features

  • One 666mm aluminium profile support arm
  • Height adjustable to 350mm
  • Two flight sim mounting plates included
  • Fully adjustable joystick and throttle positions
  • 80x40mm aluminium profile construction
  • Matte black paint finish
  • Fits any aluminium profile with an 8mm T-slot
  • All brackets and hardware included

Long arms, for controls that need room

666mm is the longest arm in Trak Racer's flight mount range, and the reason to want it is spread. A Warthog throttle, a Bravo quadrant or a Winwing base sits well outboard of the seat in the real aircraft, and cramming it in close changes how you fly.

Height is adjustable to 350mm as well, which no other kit in the range offers. Between the two you can place a stick and a throttle where your arms naturally reach rather than where a fixed bracket allows.

One arm, because your rig may already have the other

Trak Racer's guidance is specific. On a TR160 you already have one side support, so this single-arm kit completes the pair and is all you need. On a TR80, TR120 or TR80-LITE they recommend adding a second profile support for strength, or buying the two-arm version instead.

Both plates are included either way, so a joystick on one side and a throttle on the other is covered. If your rig has no side supports at all, the two-arm long version is the one to look at in the hardware mounts.

Our expert take

"If you run a TR160, this is the kit. It completes the pair with the support arm you already have, and the 666mm reach plus 350mm of height adjustment is what lets a full HOTAS sit where the aircraft would put it."

"On a TR80, TR120 or TR80-LITE this single arm works but Trak Racer recommends adding a second support for strength, so factor that in. If you have no side supports at all, buy the two-arm version and save yourself the second order."

Frequently asked questions

Which flight controls will it hold?

The two mounting plates take joysticks, throttles and quadrants from Thrustmaster across the HOTAS Warthog, T.Flight HOTAS One and 4, T.16000M and FCS, the TCA Quadrant, Officer and Sidestick Airbus editions and the TWCS throttle; Logitech and Saitek including the X52, X52 Professional and X56; Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo; Virpil, VKB, Winwing, VirtualFly and Hori. The Honeycomb Bravo attaches using a clamp.

Which cockpits does it fit?

Any aluminium profile cockpit with an 8mm T-slot, including Trak Racer's own extrusion frames and other branded rigs built from the same profile.

Do I need one arm or two?

One is right if your rig already has a side support, which the TR160 does. On a TR80, TR120 or TR80-LITE with no existing support, Trak Racer recommends a second arm, so the two-arm version is usually the better buy.

Are the mounting plates included?

Yes. Two flight sim mounting plates come with every kit, along with all the brackets and hardware needed to fit it. The controls themselves are separate, and the flight simulator controls covers those.
