Trak Racer FCS Flight Simulator Seat
Flying is not driving, and a racing bucket is the wrong shape for it. You sit more upright, you sit for longer, and you need a cut-out for a centre stick rather than bolsters designed to hold you through a corner. Trak Racer developed the FCS with Airbus to address exactly that. It sits with the racing seats we stock.
The frame is welded tubular steel with a reinforced shoulder structure and a cross-braced base. The cushioning is cold-moulded high-density foam with an ergonomic lumbar cushion, finished in premium PU leather and suede.
It carries an integrated HOTAS cut-out and dual-side steel locking recliners with a quick-adjust lever, and Trak Racer recommends it for waists between 28 and 44 inches.

Locking from both sides, and why that matters
Most reclining seats lock on one side. The backrest is then held at one edge and free at the other, which produces a twisting flex you feel as rocking whenever you shift your weight or pull on a stick.
The FCS uses dual-side steel locking recliner assemblies, so the backrest is held at both edges. Trak Racer makes the point directly: locking from both sides removes the twisting and rocking of conventional single-sided mechanisms. On a long flight, that is the difference between a seat that stays where you set it and one you keep readjusting.
Built around a centre stick
The integrated HOTAS cut-out is what makes this a flight seat rather than a racing seat with different upholstery. It gives a centre-mounted stick somewhere to sit relative to your body, so the grip lands where your hand naturally falls.
Pair it with a centre post and you have the geometry a fast jet or a helicopter actually uses. The flight simulator controls we stock covers the mounting side of that, and the seat brackets are included with the seat itself.
Finished for long sessions and shared use
Cold-moulded high-density foam holds its shape rather than compressing into a hollow the way cut foam does, and the ergonomic lumbar cushion is there because flight sessions are long and upright. The PU leather and suede finish is wear resistant, UV resistant and wipes clean.
The upholstery is double stitched with high-strength nylon thread and reinforced at the wear points. Assembly takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes. Seat sliders are optional and sold separately if you want fore and aft adjustment, and they are in the seat mounts and sliders.
Our expert take
"The dual-side recline lock is the detail that justifies this over a racing seat with a flight badge on it. Single-sided recliners rock, and on a two hour flight you notice. The HOTAS cut-out and the Airbus collaboration are not marketing either, they show in the shape."
"Two things to check. The recommended waist is 28 to 44 inches, and a seat with fixed bolstering has no give in that. And seat sliders are a separate purchase, so if you want fore and aft adjustment, budget for those alongside it."
