Trak Racer Centre-Mount Flight Stick Bracket
Combat aircraft put the stick between the driver's knees, and no side mount will ever reproduce that. This centre post does, supporting a stick or a yoke from the middle of the cockpit rather than the edge. It sits with the flight simulator controls we stock.
Height and position both adjust, so it fits any cockpit size and puts the grip where your hand naturally falls rather than where the bracket allows.
The compatibility list is the broadest of any mount in the range, covering Thrustmaster, Logitech and Saitek, Honeycomb, Virpil, VKB, Winwing, VirtualFly, Hori and Turtle Beach.
Key features
- Centre-mounted support for a flight stick or yoke
- Height and position adjustable to suit any cockpit
- Fits Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, T.16000M and TCA range
- Fits Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, Virpil and VKB Gunfighter III
- Fits Logitech and Saitek X52, X56 and Extreme 3D Pro
- Fits Winwing, VirtualFly, Hori and Turtle Beach controls
- Mounts to Trak Racer tube and extrusion cockpits
- Also fits non-Trak Racer extruded aluminium cockpits
Centre stick is a different discipline to side stick
Airbus and most GA aircraft use a side stick or a yoke, and a side mount handles those properly. Fast jets, warbirds and helicopters put the control column in the centre, and flying those from a side mount is a permanent compromise in a way most pilots stop noticing but never stop feeling.
A centre post fixes the geometry. The stick sits between your knees, your forearm rests where it would in the aircraft, and the inputs you make are the inputs the aircraft was designed around. For DCS and combat simulation it is the single most worthwhile mounting change available.
Height and position adjust to the cockpit and the pilot
The post is height and position adjustable rather than fixed, which matters more on a centre mount than a side one. Too high and the stick fouls your legs; too low and you are reaching down. The correct height is personal and it changes with the seat.
It fits Trak Racer tube frames including the RS6, TR8 PRO, TRX, Porsche 91XTR and carbon fibre TRX, and the TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK extrusion frames, plus non-Trak Racer extruded aluminium cockpits. See the flight simulator cockpits if you are building the cockpit around it.
A compatibility list worth reading
Trak Racer names nine brands: Thrustmaster across the HOTAS Warthog, Warthog dual throttles, T.Flight HOTAS One and 4, T.16000M and FCS, the TCA Quadrant, Officer and Sidestick Airbus editions, TWCS throttle and T.Flight Stick X; Logitech and Saitek including the X52, X52 Professional, X56 and Extreme 3D Pro; Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo; Virpil VPC MongoosT-50; VKB Gunfighter III; Winwing GRIP+ J2, F18 handle and T2 bases; VirtualFly TQ neo, TQ6 PLUS and TQ3 PLUS; the Hori HOTAS flight stick; and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight.
Two of those have caveats worth knowing. The Honeycomb Bravo mounts using a clamp, and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne fits onto Trak Racer wheel or yoke mounts rather than directly. Ask us if your control is not on the list.
Our expert take
"For anyone flying DCS or anything with a centre column, this changes the ergonomics more than any other single part. Side mounting a centre stick is one of those compromises you stop noticing and never stop feeling."
"Two fitment notes rather than caveats. The Honeycomb Bravo attaches with a clamp rather than bolting directly, and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne needs Trak Racer wheel or yoke mounts to sit on. Neither is a problem, but both are worth knowing before you build."

Frequently asked questions
Will it hold a yoke as well as a stick?
Yes. Trak Racer builds it as a centre post for flight stick and yoke support, and the Honeycomb Alpha yoke is on the compatibility list.
Which controls are confirmed to fit?
Thrustmaster, Logitech and Saitek, Honeycomb, Virpil, VKB, Winwing, VirtualFly, Hori and Turtle Beach are all named across roughly thirty specific models. The Honeycomb Bravo uses a clamp and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne mounts via Trak Racer wheel or yoke mounts.
Which cockpits does it fit?
Trak Racer tube frames including the RS6, TR8 PRO, TRX, Porsche 91XTR and carbon fibre TRX, plus the TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK extrusion frames, and other extruded aluminium cockpits.
Can I adjust the height?
Yes. Height and position both adjust, which matters on a centre mount because the right height depends on your seat and your leg length. The flight simulator controls covers what else pairs with it.
