Trak Racer Alpine Racing TRX V2 Racing Simulator
The Alpine Racing TRX V2 is the version of Trak Racer's flagship cockpit developed alongside engineers from the BWT Alpine F1 Team, and the only one carrying the team's livery and approval.
Trak Racer are the Official Simulator Supplier of the Alpine F1 Team, and this is the rig that relationship produced. The frame is the Racing TRX V2: 2 inch tubular steel, 620 by 1507mm, 89kg, rated to 30Nm. It sits at the top of the racing simulator cockpits we stock.
The headline capability is the changeover. Trak Racer quote 3 to 5 minutes to move the TRX between a formula driving position and a GT one, with tool-free seat changes in under 10 seconds. For comparison the TR80S, TR120S and TR160 all quote around 30 minutes, and the TR8 Pro does not convert at all.

Built with the team, not just badged by it
Licensed sim gear usually means a sticker and a price increase. This one is different in a specific and checkable way: Trak Racer name the Alpine F1 Team engineers involved in the development, including their Head of Technical and Innovation Partnerships and a Composite Design Engineer, alongside Trak Racer's own founder.
Trak Racer's comparison chart marks only two cockpits in the entire range as Alpine F1 Team Approved, and this is one of them.
What that approval covers is the design, not a separate specification. The frame, the geometry and the figures are the Racing TRX V2's.
Five minutes between formula and GT
That difference is the reason the TRX exists. Half an hour is a job you plan; five minutes is something you do between races because you feel like driving something else. One gets used, the other does not.
The wheel deck, pedal plate and seat all adjust without tools. The pedal plate slides fore and aft with height and angle adjustment, supporting raised formula, low or angled GT and inverted mounting.
For a rig wearing a Formula One team's colours, being genuinely quick to put into a formula driving position is more than a nice touch.
The frame underneath
Underneath it is 2 inch tubular steel, 620 by 1507mm assembled and 89kg on the floor. It is by a wide margin the heaviest cockpit Trak Racer build, and mass is doing real work here: it is what keeps the wheel deck still while a 30Nm wheelbase argues with your hands.
Four wheelbase mounting options are offered: a wheel plate, a Fanatec direct drive side mount, a universal front mount and an Asetek front mount. The rating is 0 to 30Nm, which clears the strongest units in the direct drive wheelbases, and the pedal plate is rated to 180kg of braking force.
Monitor mounting is an optional integrated single stand up to 70 inches. For triples or quads use a freestanding stand from the sim racing monitor stands.
Alpine trim, and what it does not change
Being straight about this: the Alpine version is livery, badging and provenance. The frame, the dimensions, the weight, the torque rating, the pedal plate rating, the changeover time, the inclusions and the warranty are the same as every other Racing TRX V2.
What the licence adds beyond the colour is access to the Alpine-branded accessories, including the BWT Alpine Formula One Team Edition seat, the Alpine F1 Engineered Design seat and a shifter mount in Alpine blue. None are included and all are chosen separately.
If the livery and the story are what you want, this is the one. If you would rather a neutral finish at the same capability, the Racing TRX V2 in Black is the same cockpit.

Is it different to the standard Racing TRX V2?
Structurally, no. Same 2 inch tubular steel frame, same 620 x 1507mm footprint, same 89kg, same 0 to 30Nm rating, same 180kg pedal plate, same 3 to 5 minute changeover and same 5 year warranty. The difference is the Alpine livery, badging and approval.
What does the Alpine involvement actually mean?
Trak Racer developed it alongside named BWT Alpine F1 Team engineers and it carries the team's approval, which their comparison chart applies to only two cockpits in the range.
Are the Alpine seats included?
No. The BWT Alpine Formula One Team Edition seat and the Alpine F1 Engineered Design seat are optional, as is the Alpine blue shifter mount.
