Adjust the rig without finding a tool
Some fixings on a rig get undone constantly. A seat position that changes between drivers, a wheel deck angle that moves depending on the discipline, a monitor arm that gets folded away. Every one of those is a trip to find an Allen key.
These replace the tool entirely. An 8mm screw with a 20mm thread and a machined black aluminium handle on the head, so the fixing turns by hand. Two come in a set, which covers a single adjustment point on both sides of the frame.
Key features
- 8mm screw with 20mm thread
- Machined aluminium handle
- Set of two
- Suits TR80 and TR160 cockpits
Choosing which fixings to convert
Not every bolt on the rig should become a hand screw. Anything in the primary load path between the wheelbase and the floor should stay properly torqued with a tool. What these are for is the adjustment points: seat rails, deck angles, monitor positions, anything a second driver in the house will want to change.
Two per adjustment point is usually the right quantity, since most adjustments are symmetrical across the frame. They suit the TR80 and TR160 cockpits, and pair naturally with the seat and deck hardware in our hardware mounts range and the wider racing simulator accessories catalogue. They are a popular addition to the racing simulator cockpits that get shared between drivers.
Our expert take
"If two people share a rig, these pay for themselves in the first week. The friction of finding an Allen key is exactly enough to stop people bothering to set the seat properly, and a badly positioned seat costs you more than any amount of hardware."

Frequently asked questions
Which cockpits are these for?
They suit the Trak Racer TR80 and TR160 cockpits. Check the thread length against the fixing you intend to replace before ordering.
How many come in a set?
Two, which covers a symmetrical adjustment point on both sides of the frame.
Should I use these everywhere?
No. Use them on adjustment points you change regularly. Fixings in the main load path between the wheelbase and the chassis should stay tightened with a tool.
