Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter Add-On
The Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter Add-On is a high-end, all-metal shifter for sim racing on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It comes with two shift plates, so you can run it as a 7+1 H-pattern gearbox or as a sequential (+/-) shifter.
The internal mechanism, the 13cm gear stick and the clamp are all metal, and Thrustmaster's H.E.A.R.T contactless magnetic sensors replace potentiometers and tact switches, so precision does not drop off over time.
Shift resistance and gear-shift travel are adjustable, and the knob is detachable and takes standard universal shift knobs. It is part of the Thrustmaster range.

H-pattern or sequential
Two shift plates come in the box. The H-pattern (7+1) plate is fitted as standard, and the sequential (+/-) plate swaps in when you move from road cars and trucks to rally or touring cars.

Metal construction, magnetic precision
The TH8A's internal mechanism, gear stick and clamping system are 100% metal. The 13cm stick gives a full-size throw, and the detachable knob means you can fit a real universal shift knob if you want a particular feel.
H.E.A.R.T (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) uses contactless magnetic sensors, with no tact switches or potentiometers to wear out, so Thrustmaster rates it for unlimited lifespan.
Set it up your way
Gear-shifting resistance is adjustable, and the internal memory stores your gear-shift travel setting, which you set using Thrustmaster's PC software. The firmware can also be upgraded.
The clamp fits tables, desks and shelves from 1 to 55mm thick, and its mounting plate rotates through 360 degrees, so the shifter sits at the right angle on a desk or a racing simulator cockpit.
Compatibility
On PC, the TH8A connects directly by USB and works with all racing wheels on the market. On PS5 and PS4 it can connect directly by USB or to the back of a Thrustmaster wheel base by DIN. On Xbox it always connects to the back of a Thrustmaster wheel base.
