Description
Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick X Airbus Edition
The Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick X Airbus Edition is an ergonomic 1:1 scale replica inspired by the Airbus sidestick, officially licensed by Airbus and for Xbox Series X|S, and also compatible with PC.
It has 21 action buttons with tact switch technology, a throttle with a built-in thrust reverser, and four swappable head modules so you can set it up for the captain's seat, the co-pilot's seat or a central position.
Its Ecosystem Hub lets you connect other Thrustmaster Airbus controllers through the stick, with a single USB cable to your Xbox or PC. It is part of the Thrustmaster range.
Key features
- 1:1 scale replica inspired by the Airbus sidestick
- Officially licensed by Airbus and for Xbox Series X|S
- Compatible with PC
- 21 action buttons with tact switches
- 4 swappable head modules, 14 remappable buttons
- Throttle with built-in thrust reverser
- Ecosystem Hub with 2 USB-A ports
- Headset jack and Xbox/PC switch
Built around the Airbus sidestick
The handle is modelled on the sidestick found in Airbus airliners, so it gives Airbus pilots a familiar shape and grip in the sim.
Four button modules swap onto the head. Before each flight you can set the stick up for the captain's seat, the co-pilot's seat or a central position for solo flying.
One cable for your whole Airbus setup
The new Ecosystem Hub adds two USB-A ports to the base, so compatible Thrustmaster controllers plug into the sidestick and run through a single USB cable to your Xbox Series X|S or PC.
There is also a USB-C port, a headset jack, and a switch that flips the stick between Xbox and PC modes.
Throttle and controls built in
The base has an enhanced throttle with a thrust reverser function, so you can manage reverse thrust on landing without extra hardware.
There are 21 action buttons in total using tact switch technology, including Xbox controls on the base, and 14 of them can be remapped.
Expand your Airbus setup
Thrustmaster recommends pairing the Sidestick X with the TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition and its Add-On, the TPR pendular rudder, the TM Flying Clamp and the Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals (TFRP), all sold separately.
On PC it works with T.A.R.G.E.T, Thrustmaster's free software for testing, configuring and programming its controllers. See our full range of flight simulator controls.
Our expert take
"The Sidestick X is the Airbus stick to choose if you fly on Xbox, or want one stick that moves between Xbox and PC. The Ecosystem Hub is the standout: quadrants and pedals connect through the stick, so a full Airbus setup runs on one cable."
"It is built for airliner flying rather than combat. If you only fly on PC, the TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition covers the essentials, and if you want rudder pedals on Xbox, add the TFRP."
