Built for space combat

Magnetic precision

The X, Y and Z axes use Thrustmaster's H.E.A.R.T HallEffect AccuRate Technology with 16-bit accuracy. Magnetic sensors read movement without contact, which keeps precision consistent over time.

The thumbwheel, throttle and ministick add 5 virtual axes for strafing, thrust and other fine adjustments.

Sol-R 1 grip mounted on the base

Comfortable in either hand

Interchangeable thumb and wrist rests let you set the grip up for your right or left hand. Four stability supports keep the base planted on the desk during long sessions.

The base features 11 RGB zones controlled through software, with colours inspired by science-fiction films.

Part of a modular ecosystem

The Sol-R 1 grip can be attached to a Thrustmaster AVA base, and the Sol-R base accepts Thrustmaster's Viper and Hornet grips, along with future grips. That gives you room to grow your setup over time.

The free T.A.R.G.E.T software on PC lets you test, configure and program Thrustmaster controllers, combine them into a single preset and use built-in presets for well-known games. Browse our flight simulator controls for more.

Our expert take

"The Sol-R 1 packs a lot of control into a single stick. A ministick, thumbwheel and a throttle built into the base mean you can fly Star Citizen or Elite Dangerous properly without needing a separate throttle on day one."

"It is PC only, and the base throttle is compact rather than a full-size HOTAS throttle. For dual-stick flying or a dedicated throttle, browse our joysticks and HOTAS ranges."
