Description

PXN GT ONE Racing Steering Wheel

The PXN GT ONE is a 300mm GT-style steering wheel for PC sim racers who want a proper button-heavy rim without stepping into flagship pricing. It packs 78 input signals across 12 RGB buttons, two seven-way funky switches, five rotary encoders and four carbon fibre paddles, so pit limiter, brake bias, traction control and ABS all sit under your thumbs rather than on a keyboard.

The frame is a fibreglass composite with a high-strength steel core and a forged carbon fibre face, and the whole wheel weighs 1500g including the quick release adapter. A 15-LED RPM strip across the top gives you shift and telemetry cues driven by PXN SimRacing or SimHub.

The GT ONE mounts directly to PXN VD Series and V12 Series bases using the included quick release, and it can be fitted to other wheelbases with the optional PXN Z QS Adapter. It is the step-up rim in the PXN sim racing range.

Key features

  • 300mm GT-optimised diameter
  • 78 programmable input signals
  • 12 RGB buttons with 16.7 million colour options
  • 2 seven-way funky switches
  • 5 rotary encoders, 3 switchable absolute or incremental
  • 4 forged carbon fibre paddles: 2 magnetic shifters and 2 clutch paddles
  • Dual clutch modes: combined axis, independent axis or button
  • 15-LED RPM and telemetry indicator
  • Fibreglass composite frame with steel core and carbon fibre face
  • PXN SimRacing and SimHub support

78 inputs laid out for GT racing

Modern GT cars ask a lot of your hands, and the GT ONE is built around that. Twelve RGB buttons with 0.25mm actuation travel and 250gf actuation force give a short, positive click, and the included button stickers let you label each one for pit, DRS, radio or whatever your car uses. Every button colour can be set from a palette of 16.7 million.

Two seven-way funky switches handle menus and multi-function adjustments, two 12-position thumb encoders sit close to the grips for quick changes mid-corner, and three 12-position encoders in the centre can run as absolute or incremental. Together they add up to 78 input signals, enough to map a full GT3 or endurance car without reaching for the keyboard.

300mm diameter and a rigid composite frame

At 300mm, the GT ONE sits at the standard size for GT and touring car rims. That diameter gives enough leverage for smooth, accurate inputs through long corners while staying quick enough for fast direction changes, and it pairs well with a direct drive base where the wheel needs to handle real torque. Compare it with other rims in our sim racing wheels range.

The frame combines a fibreglass composite with a high-strength steel core, finished with a carbon fibre face. It keeps flex out of the rim under load, and at 1500g including the quick release adapter the wheel stays light enough for a responsive feel at the wheelbase.

Four carbon fibre paddles with dual clutch modes

Behind the rim are four forged carbon fibre paddles. The two upper paddles are magnetic shifters, designed to balance a quiet action with clear tactile feedback so you know every shift has registered.

The two lower paddles are clutch paddles that can be set to one of three modes: combined axis for a single clutch, independent axis for dual-clutch launches, or button mode so they act as extra programmable inputs. That makes the GT ONE as useful for cars with standing starts as for those where you want two more buttons under your fingers.

15 RPM LEDs and PXN SimRacing software

A 15-LED strip across the top of the wheel shows engine revs and shift points in supported titles, so you can keep your eyes on the track instead of the dash. The LEDs and button lighting are configured in PXN SimRacing, which also handles input mapping and wheel settings.

The GT ONE is also supported by SimHub, which opens up custom LED profiles and telemetry displays across a wide range of PC racing titles. Pair it with a set of sim racing pedals and it becomes the centrepiece of a complete PC setup. A coiled USB cable connects the wheel, and a third-party base expansion port is built in for mounting to other wheelbases.

Compatibility and mounting

The GT ONE comes with a quick release that fits PXN VD Series and V12 Series wheelbases directly, so there is nothing extra to buy if you are already on a PXN base.

For other wheelbases with a 50 to 70mm bolt pattern, the optional PXN Z QS Adapter is required and sold separately. The wheel is PC only. Browse our direct drive wheelbases and quick releases to complete your setup.

Our expert take

"On paper the GT ONE covers everything a GT driver needs from a wheel: 300mm diameter, 78 inputs, a proper RPM strip and four carbon paddles with a configurable dual clutch. That is a control count you normally only see on much more expensive rims, which makes it a strong step up from an entry-level wheel for anyone running GT3 or endurance cars on PC."

"The caveats are platform and mounting. It is PC only, and it bolts straight onto PXN VD and V12 bases, while any other wheelbase needs the separate Z QS Adapter, so factor that in if you are not on a PXN base."
