Description
Max Flight Stick Apache Max
The Max Flight Stick Apache Max is a complete set of AH-64 Apache helicopter controls for PC and Mac: cyclic, collective and anti-torque pedals on an adjustable aluminium frame. It is the fifth generation of Max Flight Stick AH-64 model, developed with an ex AH-64E Apache pilot.
The cyclic carries up to 27 programmable buttons and the collective 38, with switch guards on the functions that matter. Hall effect sensors read every axis, and in-house pistons give all of them a hydraulic feel.
This is the metal version, with the grips and collective front box printed in industrial-grade aluminium. Choose the cyclic thumb option and the collective type, then connect with a single USB cable.
Key features
- Fifth-generation AH-64 Apache controls
- Developed with an ex AH-64E pilot
- Cyclic with up to 27 programmable buttons
- Four 5-way hats and dual-stage trigger
- Collective with 38 configurable buttons
- 2 switch guards on the collective
- Standard or duo twist throttle collective
- Hall effect sensors on all axes
- Adjustable aluminium frame and control positions
- Plug and play over a single USB connection
An Apache cyclic, standard or momentary thumb
The cyclic grip carries four 5-way hats, a dual-stage trigger and 4 push buttons, for 26 programmable buttons with the standard push button or 27 with the momentary thumb switch. Its aluminium tube bolts to the cyclic base with 2 bolts.
Every function can be mapped in DCS, so sensors, weapons and trim stay under your right hand through the whole mission.
A 38-button collective, standard or duo twist throttle
The collective head combines 4 four-way switches, a four-way switch with push, 4 toggle switches, a toggle switch with push and 8 push buttons, for 38 configurable buttons, with 2 switch guards.
Choose the standard collective, or the duo twist throttle version for twin throttle control on the collective. Browse our helicopter controls for more rotorcraft hardware.
Adjustable frame, solid metal pedals
The aluminium frame is adjustable, as are the positions of the cyclic, rudder and collective, so the set can be fitted to your height and seat. In-house pistons give every axis a weighted, hydraulic feel.
The rudder uses solid metal pedals on high-quality ball joints and ball bearings, with two of Max Flight Stick's own pistons providing the resistance.
Our expert take
"For DCS Apache pilots, this is the complete package: a pilot-developed cyclic, a 38-button collective with real switch guards and piston-loaded pedals on an adjustable frame. It takes almost the entire AH-64 workload off the keyboard."
"It is a large floor-standing set that needs dedicated space, and the layout is specific to the AH-64. Choose the duo twist throttle only if you want twin throttle control on the collective. It works on PC and Mac only."
