Description

Max Flight Stick Apache Max Collective

The Max Flight Stick Apache Max Collective is a standalone AH-64 Apache collective for PC and Mac flight sims. It is the third generation of Max Flight Stick AH-64 collective, developed with an ex AH-64E Apache pilot.

The collective head carries 38 configurable buttons, with 4-way switches, toggle switches, push buttons and 2 switch guards laid out after the Apache. Hall effect sensing and in-house pistons give it precise, hydraulic-feel movement.

This is the metal version, with the grips printed in industrial-grade aluminium on an adjustable aluminium frame. It connects with a single USB cable.

Key features

  • Third-generation AH-64 Apache collective
  • Developed with an ex AH-64E pilot
  • 38 configurable buttons
  • 5 multi-way switches, 4 with 4-way action
  • 5 toggle switches and 8 push buttons
  • 2 switch guards
  • Hall effect sensing
  • Piston-loaded hydraulic feel
  • Adjustable aluminium frame
  • Plug and play over a single USB connection

38 buttons laid out like the Apache

The head combines 4 four-way switches (16 buttons), a four-way switch with push (5 buttons), 4 toggle switches (8 buttons), a toggle switch with push (3 buttons) and 8 push buttons, for 38 configurable buttons in total.

Two switch guards protect the functions you do not want to hit by accident. It is the collective workload of the AH-64 under your left hand, ready to map in DCS.

Hydraulic feel on an adjustable frame

Max Flight Stick's in-house pistons give the collective a weighted, hydraulic movement, and Hall effect sensing reads its position without contact. The aluminium frame is adjustable and has several mounting options for a desk, frame or cockpit.

Pair it with the Apache cyclic and anti-torque pedals to complete the cockpit. Browse our helicopter controls for the rest of the range.

Our expert take

"With 38 buttons and real switch guards, this collective takes most of the Apache's left-hand workload off the keyboard. For DCS AH-64 pilots who already own a good cyclic, it is the piece that makes the cockpit feel complete."

"It is the collective only, so you will need a cyclic and pedals, and the layout is specific to the AH-64. It works on PC and Mac only."

- Blake Sterling, Founder & CEO, Gamer Gear Direct
