MOZA R9 V3 Bundle
Level up your sim racing with the MOZA R9 V3 bundle Dive into the ultimate sim racing experience with the MOZA R9 V3 wheelbase and wheel bundle...
View full detailsThe MOZA R9 V3 is the most popular direct drive wheelbase in the MOZA range, and for good reason. At 9Nm with a 21-bit magnetic encoder, NexGen 4.0 force feedback, and iRacing 360Hz support, it sits at the point in the MOZA lineup where performance, value, and accessibility converge. Whether you are stepping up to direct drive for the first time or building a long-term setup, the R9 V3 gives you more headroom than most sim racers will ever reach.
Gamer Gear Direct stocks three R9 V3 bundle configurations: the standard wheel bundle, the CRP2 load cell pedal upgrade, and our GGD-built trucking bundle for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator players. This page covers each option, what is included, who it suits, and how to choose between them.
“The R9 V3 is the wheelbase we use as our reference point for everything else. After running it on iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione for extended periods, the 21-bit encoder detail and NexGen 4.0 feedback make it genuinely difficult to justify spending more for most drivers. If you are asking which bundle to start with: the CRP2 upgrade is worth doing from day one if you are serious about lap times. Load cell braking changes how you drive more than any other single hardware change at this price point. The trucking bundle came about because we kept seeing customers buy the R9 V3 and the TSW wheel separately to build their own truck sim setup. We put it together so they did not have to.”
Blake Sterling, Founder, Gamer Gear Direct
Three bundle configurations are available. Each builds on the same R9 V3 wheelbase, adding different pedal and wheel combinations to suit different drivers and sim types.
| Bundle | What’s included | Best for | Pedals type |
| R9 V3 Bundle | R9 V3 wheelbase + choice of MOZA steering wheel | First direct drive setup, wheel upgrade from existing pedals | SR-P Lite (or your existing pedals) |
| R9 V3 + CRP2 Bundle | R9 V3 wheelbase + CRP2 load cell pedals + choice of wheel | Complete setup upgrade, serious sim racers | CRP2 load cell (200kg sensor) |
| R9 V3 Trucking Bundle | R9 V3 wheelbase + TSW truck wheel + multi-function stalks + CRP2 pedals with clutch | Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator | CRP2 with clutch pedal |
Every bundle in this range is built around the same R9 V3 wheelbase. Here are the key specifications:
The R9 V3’s 21-bit encoder is the key hardware step up from the R3 and R5 range. Where the 15-bit encoders on those models provide 32,768 steps per revolution, the R9 V3’s 21-bit encoder provides 2,097,152. In practice, that resolution increase translates to finer detail in force feedback signals: earlier notification of grip loss, more texture in road surfaces, and cleaner kerb definition. It is noticeable if you have spent time on entry-level direct drive hardware, and significant if you are upgrading from a belt or gear-driven wheel.

The standard MOZA R9 V3 Bundle pairs the R9 V3 wheelbase with your choice of MOZA steering wheel. This is the right starting point if you already have pedals you are keeping, are adding the R9 V3 to an existing sim setup, or want to choose your pedal configuration separately. The bundle price represents a saving over buying the wheelbase and wheel individually.
The choice of MOZA steering wheel lets you select the profile and button layout that suits your sim style. GT wheels, formula wheels, and round profiles all work with the R9 V3’s quick release system. If you are not sure which wheel suits your racing, our team can advise.

The MOZA R9 V3 + CRP2 Pedals Bundle is the most popular R9 V3 configuration and the one we recommend to most buyers. It pairs the R9 V3 wheelbase with the CRP2 load cell pedal set and your choice of MOZA steering wheel, giving you a complete direct drive setup in a single purchase.
Why the CRP2 load cell pedals matter
Standard potentiometer pedals measure how far you push the pedal. Load cell pedals measure how hard you push it. The CRP2’s 200kg load cell brake sensor means your braking input is pressure-based rather than travel-based, which produces significantly more consistent and repeatable brake points. Most sim racers find that load cell braking changes their driving more than any other single hardware upgrade: you can feel the brake bite point precisely, modulate brake pressure through corners, and threshold brake more accurately session after session.
The CRP2 also supports inverted pedal mounting for a heel-toe driving position, and the pedal spacing and travel are fully adjustable through MOZA Pit House. The set includes throttle, brake, and clutch pedals.

The MOZA R9 V3 Trucking Bundle is a bundle we built ourselves after noticing a consistent pattern: customers purchasing the R9 V3 and the MOZA TSW truck steering wheel separately to create their own truck simulator setup. We put those components together with multi-function stalks and CRP2 pedals with clutch as a complete, purpose-built truck sim package.
The TSW truck wheel is a 350mm hand-stitched wheel designed around the proportions of a real commercial vehicle steering wheel. Combined with the R9 V3’s 9Nm torque output, it reproduces the weight and resistance of steering a heavy-duty truck in a way that a standard 280mm racing wheel cannot. The multi-function stalks add indicator, wiper, and light controls for full immersion in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. CRP2 pedals with clutch complete the package for manual gearbox driving.

Stepping up from the R5: The jump from the R5 to the R9 V3 is the most significant hardware step in the MOZA range. You gain torque (5.5Nm to 9Nm), but the bigger difference is the encoder upgrade from 15-bit to 21-bit. The R9 V3 reveals detail in force feedback that the R5 cannot reproduce. If you are on an R5 and feeling the ceiling, this is the right move. Browse MOZA R5 bundles if you are still deciding between the two.
R9 V3 vs the R12 V2: The R12 V2 steps torque up to 12Nm on the same 21-bit NexGen 4.0 platform, with enhanced active cooling for sustained high-load sessions. If you spend significant time in high-downforce cars or want more torque headroom for long-term use, the R12 V2 is worth considering. For most sim racers, the R9 V3 is more than sufficient. If you are building a complete sim racing setup from scratch, the R9 V3 + CRP2 Pedals Bundle is the best starting point for most drivers. Load cell braking improves your driving more than any other single hardware change at this price point and the combined bundle is better value than buying separately. The standard R9 V3 Bundle suits drivers who already have pedals or are upgrading just the wheelbase and wheel. The Trucking Bundle is specifically for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator players who want the most immersive truck sim setup in the MOZA mid-range.
The standard R9 V3 Bundle includes the R9 V3 direct drive wheelbase and your choice of MOZA steering wheel. Pedals are not included. If you need pedals, either the R9 V3 + CRP2 Bundle or MOZA SR-P Lite pedals purchased separately are the natural options.
Yes. The R9 V3 supports iRacing’s 360Hz direct drive feedback mode, which delivers more dynamic and responsive force feedback in the sim compared to standard refresh rates. This is enabled through iRacing’s settings and MOZA Pit House configuration.
The CRP2 is MOZA’s load cell pedal set. Unlike standard potentiometer pedals that measure pedal travel distance, the CRP2’s 200kg load cell brake sensor measures the pressure you apply. This produces more consistent and repeatable brake inputs because your muscle memory is calibrated to force rather than position. Most sim racers find load cell braking measurably improves their consistency at brake zones. The CRP2 includes throttle, brake, and clutch pedals, supports inverted mounting, and is fully adjustable through MOZA Pit House.
We noticed a consistent pattern of customers purchasing the R9 V3 and the MOZA TSW truck wheel separately to build their own truck simulator setup. The R9 V3’s 9Nm torque output pairs well with the TSW wheel’s 350mm diameter to replicate the weight and resistance of a real commercial vehicle steering wheel. We built the trucking bundle to offer that complete setup in a single purchase, including multi-function stalks and CRP2 pedals with clutch for manual gearbox driving.
The R9 V3 is a PC direct drive wheelbase and is not natively compatible with PlayStation or Xbox. For Xbox compatibility within the MOZA range, see the MOZA R3 Xbox Bundle. All major PC sim titles are fully supported.
