Trak Racer TR160 Flight Simulator Cockpit
The TR160 Flight is the cockpit you buy when you have stopped shopping. It is the heaviest bracket set Trak Racer put at the control uprights, it takes motion directly, and it arrives as a complete flight bundle rather than a frame and a shopping list.
The TR160 Flight is Trak Racer's answer: the 160 x 40mm aluminium extrusion chassis with 120 x 40mm uprights frame, supplied as a complete flight bundle with the reclining Trak Racer Flight Seat, a four-way adjustable pedal mount ready for rudder pedals, and left and right side mounts for your stick and throttle.
It sits with the rest of the flight simulator cockpits we stock, and the frame underneath is the same one that carries the TR160 V5 Racing Simulator.

A frame this substantial deserves a seat chosen for the job rather than borrowed from racing. The Trak Racer Flight Seat reclines, supports the lower back and is cut away at the shoulders for side-mounted controls.

The seat slider rails and adjustment bar are included, so fore and aft position runs on rails rather than being unbolted and guessed at.
Everything mounts to the frame, not around it
The 160 x 40mm brackets at the control uprights exist because flight hardware loads a frame differently to a wheel: a yoke gets pulled, a throttle gets pushed against, and both sit outboard. Yoke support covers the Honeycomb Aeronautical Alpha Flight Controls and the Logitech Flight Yoke System, both by clamp, plus the Logitech Flight Switch, Multi and Instrument panels, Logitech Heavy Equipment and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight.
Left and right side mounts are included for stick and throttle, spanning Thrustmaster across the HOTAS Warthog and Warthog dual throttles, the T.Flight HOTAS One and 4, the T.16000M and FCS, the TCA Quadrant, Officer and Sidestick Airbus editions and the TWCS throttle; Logitech and Saitek including the X52, X52 Professional and X56, the Throttle Quadrant and the Extreme 3D Pro; Honeycomb Bravo; Virpil VPC MongoosT-50; VKB Gunfighter III; VirtualFly TQ3 and TQ6 Plus; and Hori.
Rudder pedals bolt to the pedal baseplate with slider adjustment. Trak Racer name the Logitech Flight Rudder Pedals and Heavy Equipment set, the Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder Pedals and TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals, and the Virpil Ace. A centre flight stick mount is available separately if you fly something that wants the stick between your knees rather than at your side.
The top of the flight range
The TR160 Flight is the most substantial flight cockpit Trak Racer build. It carries 160 x 40mm aluminium brackets at the wheel and yoke uprights specifically for extra rigidity where the controls mount, which is precisely where a flight setup loads a frame.
Like the TR120S V2 it takes a motion platform direct-fit with no separate base, and it shares the same 0 to 30Nm and above wheelbase rating if the rig doubles as a racing cockpit.
Seat slider rails and the adjustment bar are included, so seating position is set properly rather than approximately, which on a cockpit built for long sessions is worth more than it is on one built for hot laps.
Screens and motion
Monitor mounting is optional, with integrated single through to quad stands and freestanding options for larger arrays.
The TR160 Flight takes a motion platform direct-fit with no separate motion base required, the same as the TR120S V2. The TR40S, TR80S and TR8 Pro flight cockpits all need a base such as the Trak Racer TR Move platform.
At this level it is worth planning the whole install at once, screens and motion included. Panels on a moving platform move with it; panels on their own legs do not. The stands are in the sim racing monitor stands.

Frequently asked questions
What makes this different to the racing version?
The frame is the same. What differs is the bundle: the reclining Trak Racer Flight Seat, a pedal mount set up for rudder pedals, and left and right control side mounts. The TR160 V5 Racing Simulator ships without a seat.
Which rudder pedals fit?
Trak Racer name Logitech, Thrustmaster and Virpil sets. They bolt directly to the pedal baseplate and adjust on the slider.
Which yokes fit?
Honeycomb Alpha and the Logitech Flight Yoke System by clamp, plus Logitech panels and the Turtle Beach VelocityOne.
Can I race on it too?
Yes. It carries the same 0 to 30Nm and above rating as the TR120S V2, on a heavier bracket set.
Is a monitor included?
No. Monitors, stands, rudder pedals, yokes and HOTAS controls are all chosen separately. The range is in the sim racing monitor stands.
