Description

Trak Racer Overhead Monitor Mount

An extra screen above the mains, angled down, for the information you glance at rather than watch. Timing, telemetry, a second camera view or a flight instrument panel all belong up there rather than competing with the driving view. It sits with the sim racing monitor stands we stock.

This is Trak Racer's third-generation design, taking flat and curved monitors and TVs up to 50 inches, with a universal VESA mount for 75, 100 and 200mm spacing included.

It fits Trak Racer's freestanding tube single and triple monitor stands.

Trak Racer overhead monitor mount shown complete

Key features

  • Adds an overhead or second display above the mains
  • Takes flat and curved monitors and TVs up to 50 inches
  • Universal VESA mount for 75, 100 and 200mm included
  • Optional add-on part covers 300 and 400mm VESA spacing
  • Third-generation Trak Racer monitor mount design
  • Fits the tube single and triple monitor stands
  • Suits telemetry, timing and second camera views
  • Angles the display down toward the driver

Above the view, not beside it

The value of a second screen depends entirely on where it goes. Beside the mains it competes with the driving view and pulls your eyes off the track. Above it, angled down, it is available when you look for it and invisible when you do not.

That makes it the right home for timing screens, telemetry, tyre and fuel data, a second camera angle or a flight instrument panel. On a triple setup it becomes the fourth screen without disturbing the three that matter.

Curved panels handled, and the VESA range covered

Flat and curved monitors and TVs up to 50 inches are both supported, which is worth stating because plenty of overhead brackets assume a flat panel and struggle with the mounting geometry of a curved one.

The universal VESA mount covering 75, 100 and 200mm spacing comes with it. If your panel uses 300 or 400mm spacing, that needs Trak Racer's separate add-on part, so check your monitor's pattern before ordering. Screws specific to your monitor are normally supplied by the monitor manufacturer rather than with the mount.

Which stands it fits

It is designed for Trak Racer's freestanding tube monitor stands, both the single and the triple, including the TM-B7 tube monitor stand and the TR8 triple monitor stand.

If your stand is an aluminium extrusion model rather than tube, the overhead 4th and 2nd monitor mount is the version built for single-slot profile instead. Both are in the sim racing monitor stands, and we will confirm which suits your stand if you are unsure.

Our expert take

"Third generation and it shows. Taking curved panels up to 50 inches is more than most overhead brackets manage, and putting a timing or telemetry screen above the mains is a genuine upgrade to how you drive rather than just more screen."

"Check two things before ordering. Your VESA pattern, because 300 and 400mm spacing needs a separate add-on part, and your stand, because this is the tube-stand version and the extrusion stands take the other overhead mount."
