Trak Racer Freestanding Dual Monitor Stand
Freestanding stands solve a problem cockpit-mounted ones cannot: they keep the screens out of the rig's vibration entirely. On a motion platform, or under a wheelbase strong enough to shake the whole cockpit, that separation is the difference between a stable image and one that moves with every kerb. This is Trak Racer's dual version, and it sits with the rest of the sim racing monitor stands we stock.
It carries two displays, a primary up to 80 inches and a secondary up to 45, on VESA patterns from 75 to 400mm. Height, width and monitor positioning all adjust, and screen distance can be fine-tuned.
Because it stands on its own, it works with any rig rather than a specific frame, and Trak Racer lists it against both their tube and extrusion cockpits.
Key features
- Carries two displays, primary up to 80 inches
- Secondary display up to 45 inches
- Supports side-by-side or stacked configurations
- VESA support from 75 to 400mm
- Height, width and monitor positioning adjustable
- Freestanding, so no vibration transfer from the rig
- Works across Trak Racer tube and extrusion cockpits
- Mounting hardware included
Vibration isolation is the reason to go freestanding
Every force a direct drive wheelbase generates ends up somewhere in the cockpit. On a cockpit-mounted stand, some of that reaches the screens. Most of the time it is imperceptible; on a motion rig or a very strong base it is not.
A freestanding stand takes the screens out of that path entirely. They sit on the floor, independent of whatever the rig is doing, and the image stays still. The trade is that the screens no longer move with the seat, so your field of view setting depends on the stand staying where you put it.
An 80 inch primary with a 45 inch alongside
The two positions are not equal, and that is deliberate. The primary carries up to 80 inches, which is television territory, while the secondary tops out at 45. That asymmetry suits the way most dual setups are actually used: one large screen for the view, one smaller one for telemetry, timing, a dash or a second application.
It also supports a stacked layout rather than side by side, which is the better arrangement when the second screen is a glance screen rather than an extension of the driving view. Have a look at the haptic systems if you want to add tactile feedback to the same rig.
Works with any rig, including tube frames
Because it does not bolt to the cockpit, this stand is not tied to a particular frame. Trak Racer lists it against their tube frames including the FS3, RS6, TR8 PRO, TRX, Porsche 91XTR, Carbon Fibre TRX, TR5, TRF, Aston Martin AMR26, TR2, TR3, TR4 and the Hot Wheels HW2, HW3 and HW5, and their extrusion frames including the TR200, TRA, TR160, TR120, TR80S, TR40S and TRK.
In practice it will work alongside almost any cockpit, including brands not on that list, which is the other advantage of freestanding. Mounting hardware is included. Allow floor space behind the rig for the frame, and ask us if you want a specific setup confirmed.
Our expert take
"Freestanding is the right call if you run motion, or if your rig gets moved around and the screens do not. The 80 inch primary is a genuinely big ceiling, and pairing it with a smaller second screen for telemetry is a more useful layout than two matched panels."
"The honest limitation is that Trak Racer publishes no footprint dimensions for this stand, and a freestanding unit carrying an 80 inch screen needs real floor space behind the rig. Measure before you order. If space is tight, a cockpit-mounted stand keeps everything within the rig's own footprint."

Frequently asked questions
How big can the screens be?
The primary position takes up to 80 inches and the secondary up to 45. Ask us if you want a specific pair of monitors confirmed against it before ordering.
Can the screens be stacked rather than side by side?
Yes. Trak Racer supports both side-by-side and stacked layouts, and stacked usually suits a large primary with a smaller glance screen above or below it.
Does it need a Trak Racer rig?
No. It stands on its own, so it works alongside effectively any cockpit. Trak Racer lists it against their own tube and extrusion frames, but it is not bolted to any of them.
Freestanding or cockpit-mounted?
Freestanding isolates the screens from rig vibration and moves between setups easily. Cockpit-mounted keeps the screens at a fixed distance from your eyes and takes up less floor space. Both types are in the sim racing monitor stands.

Easy to install although i would recommend if you have a friend or parent it helps to do it as two people. Stand is quickly put together and does exactly what its supposed to. Material quality is like always very good.
I wanted to change from a single monitor to a dual setup. I already had the Track Racer TR8 Pro and this stand kept that theming. Strong, stable with good adjustability for screen placement. Would recommend.
Well built, strong , tidy and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Handling the heavy pc shelf, ultrawide monitor and top monitor with no issue
This stand cost almost as much as the rig itself and has just about the same number of parts and complexity. It is a solid unit. I use it also to support the PC. Pricey but it provides a lot of utility and should last almost forever.
very nice
