I bought this for my home flight sim and for the most part this chair has exceeded my expectations. However, who ever boxed the chair didn't care that it was missing a part and that one of the parts was broken. I wish the QC was better because this was almost a home run. Additionally, they should have plugs for the bottom of the metal frame where it touches the floor. Some non-slip rubber mounts would keep this from scratching floors with the sharp edges. I have a floor mat that I have placed to keep it from damaging my wood floors. I'd like to see additional accessories to make this a better value. The price is a bit much for what you get given the quality and the damaged/missing parts.
Took gaming to a whole new level!
First off, I do like this chair. It is comfortable to sit in and it works exactly as you would expect, however, it has some quality control issues with the pieces, as some others have mentioned, there are issues with the holes aligning on some parts. They seem to have attempted to rectify this by making the holes double width which allows them to slide, unfortunately, this has the impact that you have to leave the bolts somewhat loose until it is fully assembled to be able to attach things. The instructions are interesting as they tell you to use a particular bolt at one point that you do not get (there is a different one that you do get that is to be used), there is an additional plate for the side tables that isn't even mentioned in the instructions. The Allen key/Allen wrench it comes with was slightly too big for the holes in the bolts so I had to use my own for them. The central joystick bit has several holes that look like they can be used for mounting, however, they will not fit any of the most common sticks as most of them are blocked below by the post and cannot be used and they are in positions that don't fit a lot of sticks. This was very annoying to me as I have the joystick that is featured in the main image of the product, so I wrongfully assumed it would be able to be bolted. They do provide a bunch of velcro strips that I currently use.The Playseat company themselves aren't very responsive to emails, I emailed them asking if I could purchase an addition.
First off, Prime delivered to my neighbor instead of me. The unit feels like the real deal. I would have liked a little more recline. The seat arrived with loose parts which turned out to be tube caps. The chrome rail end cap was broken. Not sure how to get replacement parts yet. All considered, this gives the flight sim with my x 52 controls an authentic and balanced feel.
The chair is nice but if you use a HOTAS you may not want to use arm for stick. It comes up to high. It is nice to have a home for the throttle though.
