Came as described. Got it during Cyber Monday at a great price. Setup was simple but mapping individual buttons depends entirely on the game of software being used which can be a bit of a pain.I've used this setup (with pedels) in Elite Dangerous and it worked perfectly but I use it more often for DCS. Everything feels well built but in reality it's mostly plastic which kinda sucks. I would have liked to see heavier metals used but for the price it does everything I've asked it to do.If you do grab this set, get it as a set with the foot pedals, the whole things works as one device which is great.
TL;DR - If you want a good low- to mid-range set of flight controls, this is a good purchase.Long Version:I've owned this set for a year now and have put in around 1200 hours on these controls playing Elite: Dangerous which is a trading/exploration/combat space sim.The controls have held up well and I've truly enjoyed the experience. However, as my skill in the game has progressed, the controls have failed to keep pace with my requirements. I realized this through conversations with other players on the forums, so I began to do some research. As I looked at high-end controls such as the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, VKB products and Virpil products, and saw where those products had much better designs. This is not a knock on the T16000M controllers; they're good for starting out. The high-end products are just better built and better designed (and WAY more expensive).PEDALS - Pros:- Well-built (for plastic) and have shown no signs of wear (I don't wear shoes when I play, though)- Good resistance- Good accuracyPEDALS - Cons:- Plastic construction (but still sturdy, so not a real issue)- The pedals connect into the throttle and cannot be connected directly into the PCTHROTTLE - Pros:- Sturdy construction with a mix of plastic and metal (mostly plastic)- Button placement is pretty good - 75% require very little to no hand movementTHROTTLE - Cons:- The resistance is wonky. To get the most out of this, Nyogel needs to be applied to the internal rails- You'll need big hands to re.
Excellent quality, the best joystick, pedal and throttle that I used until now. Precise commands for including training IFR procedures, I'm using it with X-plane 11 and DCS and work perfect in both simulators
I am new to the use of HOTAS and have only used these a couple of times but I really like the feel and the quality. Last night my neighbor, who is a pilot, gave them a try and liked them as well. There is a new flight simulator coming out mid-2020 that I am really excited about and hope to be proficient using the Thrustmaster T.16000M by that time.
don't bother buying the set with the pedals unless you're dead set on getting this for some flying sim. I bought it for elite dangerous and I have yet to see a game that uses the pedals in anyway that feels more natural than using one of the other 2 controllers MANY buttons.they are not actual medals they rotate you push 1 forward it forces the other one back. they do have depression like a pedal but the free floating movement of front to back destroys the pedal feel and messes you up for trying to use them like a pedalother than that I hate how these are all plastic but they do work so ill give it 4 stars. only gripe is I wish they used some metal in the build
