The SimRig SR2 is a powerful, easy-to-use motion system suitable for aluminium profile cockpits. Get ready for extreme immersion and realism

Looking for a bolt-on motion system without the monstrous $20k+ price tag? We’ve exactly what you need. The SimRig SR2 motion platform is the big brother of the SR1 with a bigger maximum weight load of 225kg. That's a full 50kg more than the SR1 motion system.

The SR2 motion system features four powerful actuators that bolt directly onto 40x40, 80x40, 120x40, 160x40mm aluminium extrusion (or '8020') cockpits. That makes this system the perfect motion platform for cockpits like the Trak Racer TR80, TR160, TR120 or Next Level Racing F-GT and GT Elite range and the SimRigs Exodus.

The SR2 is a 3DOF system meaning, with the actuators installed to your rig you’ll instantly feel heave, roll and pitch on your favourites racing titles like iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Automobilista and lots more (see the full list of compatible games below).

Key features

  • Full 3DOF (degrees of freedom) - instantly feel powerful heave, pitch and roll
  • Affordable and reliable system built and designed in Sweden
  • System includes four actuators and all the accessories you need to bolt directly to your aluminium profile cockpit (like the Trak Racer TR80, TR120, TR160, Next Level Racing F-GT and GT Elite range and SimRigs Exodus)
  • Max load 225kg (includes rig, driver and peripherals)
  • Easy, plug-and-play USB system (PC compatible)
  • Performance - up to 6 degrees pitch/roll, up to 70mm travel, up to 100mm/s speed
  • Compatible with 30+ racing titles with more added to the list all the time
  • Simple and user friendly interface - SimRig Control Centre
  • Plug and play with uber-popular racing titles like iRacing, Assetto Corsa and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
  • 12 month warranty and lifetime tech support

Unbeatable & reliable 3DOF motion system WITHOUT the huge price tag

The SR2 is a powerful plug-and-play 3DOF (degrees of freedom) motion platform that bolts directly to most extruded aluminium profile cockpits on the market today (like Trak Racer, Next Level Racing, Sim-Lab and SimRigs). Made up of four actuators that bolt to each side of your rig, when operating the SR2 hands you unbeatable heave (up and down motion), pitch (forward and back rotation) and roll (left and right rotation) motion.

This is the same type of motion used in high-end, commercial systems that can easily cost upwards of $20,000 or $30,000. The company behind the SR2 - SimRig - is a Swedish firm who are experts in consumer based motion systems. The quality of the SR2 is second-to-none. You’re looking at a reliable and powerful motion system that won’t cost the earth.

Feel every twist, turn, bump, corner, acceleration, braking and a whole lot more

The SR2 is an intuitive, highly accurate and realistic three degrees of freedom (3DOF) motion platform. This means you’ll feel the full effects of heave, pitch and roll on all your favourite racing titles.

Here’s a run down of the three separate motion types...

HEAVE - Heave is motion up and down. With four actuators the SR2 motion system lifts your entire rig. You’ll feel the curbs and imperfections on the track as well as terrain changes and subtleties.

PITCH - Pitch is rotation forwards and backwards. With the SR2 installed this translates into tilting your rig backwards during acceleration and forwards while braking. You’ll now actually ‘feel’ braking force instead of relying solely on the position of your foot.

ROLL - Roll is rotation left and right. While cornering the SR2 tilts your rig sideways depending on direction. Feel the full force of cornering as your car is pushed around each bend and twist.

Easy, plug-and-play installation, compatible with dozens of popular racing titles

The SimRig SR2 motion system is super user-friendly. You simply connect the system to your PC via USB. You can get started with popular racing titles like iRacing, Assetto Corsa and RaceRoom right from the box with zero set-up necessary.

However, the SR2 is compatible with dozens more titles via the Control Centre software. You’ll find the full list of compatible games under the ‘specifications’ tab below. There are more and more games added to this list all the time.

To get started, you simply need to download the SimRig Control Centre software to your Windows compatible PC, bolt on the SR2 motion system and you’re ready to go.

Direct bolt-on to most lightweight extruded aluminium profile cockpits

The SR2 bolts onto most lightweight extruded aluminium cockpits from brands like Trak Racer, Next Level Racing, Sim-Lab and SimRigs. The system works up to a max load of 225kg. That includes the weight of the driver, cockpit and any peripherals installed to the rig (wheels, pedals, shifter etc.).

Included with your purchase is everything you need to bolt the SR2 to your aluminium chassis. The installation accessories are compatible with profile sizes of 40x40, 80x40, 120x40, 160x40mm. So, if you own - or are looking to own - a Trak Racer TR80, or SimRigs Exodus aluminium cockpit, the S21 is a direct fit.

Full 12 month warranty and lifetime tech support

The SR2 system is a big investment and you obviously want to be sure you’re covered in the highly unlikely scenario you run into issues. Good news is we’ve got you covered. The SR2 is covered by a full 2 year consumer warranty and lifetime technical support.

The SimRig SR2 is compatible with aluminium rigs built using 40x40, 80x40, 120x40, 160x40mm aluminium extrusions. Included with your SR2 are four 20mm x 20mm aluminium profiles and four plastic brackets. These are required to attach the SR1 to your aluminium rig.

The four 20x20 mm aluminium profiles are mounted in pairs. Two at the front of the rig and two at the back. Each pair holds two SR2 actuators. See the set-up documentation above for more details.

The plastic brackets are specifically designed to attach to either 40x40, 80x40, 120x40, 160x40mm aluminium profiles.

For best performance, longevity, and user experience, the maximum load for the SR2 is set to 225 kg. The maximum load includes the SR2 motion system, the rig, the driver, other peripherals, and additional weight actuated by the SIMRIG SR2 motion system.

The sound-level from the SR2 motion system is very low. A large rubber pad is attached to the bottom of each actuator. This keeps the system stationary and absorbs vibrations. Furthermore, the power supply is fan-less.

Hey there.

If you’ve clicked on this tab, you’re obviously looking for a reason or two on why you should shop for your gaming goodies at Gamer Gear Direct, rather than those other online stores.

And we’ll (not so) humbly say there’s lots of reasons we think you should shop with us…and not hand over your hard-earned cash at one of those big box retailers like Harvey Norman or JB Hi-Fi.

First up, we’ve got a policy here at Gamer Gear Direct we like to call…

100% customer happiness guaranteed (we mean it!)

OK, so the above title might sound a little corny to you, but it’s true.

We’ll bend over backwards to ensure you are 100% happy and satisfied with everything you buy from us.

We want you to tell your friends and family about your experience with us (and hopefully that’ll mean they visit our website, too).

And the only way you’re going to do that is when you’re happy with our service, right?

See, we’re not one of those big box electronics stores with a multi-million marketing budget. Those companies treat you like a number. Because they can afford to! They’ve got money coming out of their ears.

We’re different. We’re a small Aussie business. Every single potential customer that hits our website is precious to us (that includes you).

So, again, we’ll do everything we can to make sure you’re over the moon with your Gamer Gear Direct shopping experience.

Do you think Harvey Norman can promise that kind of service? Probably not.

But look, you don’t have to take our word for Here’s what our customers are saying about us…

Ashley Woolnough says: ‘I want to say a huge thank you to Blake and the team at Gamer Gear Direct. The service has been absolutely impeccable from the moment I first looked at items to the moment they were delivered. I bothered Blake quite a bit, but nothing was too much trouble and he went above and beyond to help me. 5-star service’.

Joe Platt had this to say: ‘Just want to say how awesome the gaming chair is that we bought. Amazing quality, helpful service and the fastest delivery of an online purchase. Arrived Next Day!’

And this from B. Richardson: ‘Purchased an Audeze headset and it arrived inside two days. Thanks for the fast shipping and great service!’

That’s not an exhaustive list, either. There are plenty more happy customer stories we could share with you.

But let’s move on…

Five-star customer support. We’re just an email, phone call or live chat away. We’re here to help you day or night

‘Officially’ we’re around to support you and help you out with your questions and queries between normal business hours (Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm).

But just between us…we’re pretty much here to help you out around the clock, 7 days a week.

We don’t switch off. For example, it’s not unusual for one of our team to be helping a customer with a shipping request at 9pm at night.

If you need a hand with anything just email us, call (03) 9000 0545 or open the live chat function and we’ll help you in any way we can.

Shop with confidence! If you don’t like what you’ve ordered you’ve got 30-days to return it. No questions asked (and we’ll even pay the return shipping)

This means if you’re not happy for any reason (and reason at all) you can return your item/s for refund or exchange. And we’ll even cover the return shipping.

That means you can shop with confidence. Again, if for any reason you’re not happy just return your items to us for a refund or exchange.

On top of our 30-day return policy, you’re also covered by a manufacturers warranty. Every product we sell is covered by a minimum 6-month warranty (most are covered by a 1 year or better warranty)

So, you can rest assured when you buy from us, you’re buying top quality, brand name products (no crap ‘grey import’ products here)

Only had it up and running for a short time so still trying to dial it in to my liking, once dialed in I think it will be one of the best buys I have made

Michael R.

I received my SR2 a few days ago. I am building a new PSR1 simrig with SR2 motion. I do not have my simrig running yet because of the pc video card shortage. The SR2 was packed very weill so there was no shipping damage. The SR2 appears to be heavy duty. It will be a few weeks or months before I have the video card I need to finish building, then test my new sim rig.

I think that if the actuators could be mounted upside down the SR2 actuator wouldn't have to lift its own weight. That would increase the maximum weight limit and reduce the load on the system.

So far, I would recommend the SR2. Its the only 4 post motion system with a high weight capacity at a tolerable price. YouTube videos show that its quieter than other motion systems too.
